See You Soon-dubu Greeting Card | Korean Sundubu Jjigae Birthday Card | K Food Illustration

This heart-warming handmade greeting card features a hopeful message of reuniting and friendship. Growing up in Southern California, some of my most cherished memories are mom-and-pop-shop outings with my Grandma and her girlfriends to eat Korean hot tofu soup for their birthdays in the 626, eating sundubu-jjigae on cold winter nights at tofu houses with my girlfriends in college in Fullerton and Westminster, eating at the KTown BCD location with my art director as a graphic designer in LA, and getting hot spicy soup with my cousins as an adult in the South Bay. There truly is nothing like coming together over a hot bowl of Korean sundubu, with all of the delicious banchan, complementary barley tea, and catching up. With this friendship greeting card, I hope that you are able to reconnect with your loved ones over a hot, comforting meal, and that more laughter and fun times ensue. Featuring a smiling hot seafood-and-meat-filled assorted soondubu jjigae and rice bowl, surrounded by an array of delicious, classic banchan side dishes of Korean radish, fish cake, cucumber kimchi, squid, potato salad, cabbage kimchi, and fried fish, this cute K food greeting card is an adorable way to express your love and friendship to your favorite foodie, or comforting friend.

⋆˚✿˖° HOW WE MAKE OUR ART ⋆˚✿˖° 

Each hand-drawn greeting card is individually-made with colorful inspiration and intention. I first sketch or illustrate each design by hand on paper or the iPad, then make edits using Procreate and Photoshop for color correction and compositional placement.  Every card is then printed locally at home on 100% recycled card stock paper, with a high quality eco-tank printer, and my mom, aunties, and I then fold and/or hand-score, and package each card with a kraft paper envelope and a clear cellophane sleeve for protection.
